There is a breakaway input in plasmac. You need to connect that.

Are you referring to these?
#***** PLASMA CONNECTIONS *****
net plasmac:arc-voltage-in hm2_7i76e.0.encoder.00.velocity => plasmac.arc-voltage-in
net plasmac:arc-ok-in hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-31 => db_arc-ok.in
net plasmac:float-switch hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-21-not => db_float.in
net plasmac:breakaway hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-22-not => db_breakaway.in
net plasmac:ohmic-probe hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-20-not => db_ohmic.in
#net plasmac:ohmic-enable plasmac.ohmic-enable  =>
net plasmac:torch-on => hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinena

I might be wrong here but the pin is called halui.program-pause so if you are not running a gcode program there is no program to pause!

Jogging is not running a program!

Write some gcode, run it and its while running, grab the torch and yank it off. I think it should stop.

But doesnt PlasmaC have a built in pin for attaching your torch break away input? He mentioned that he tried connecting to halui.program.pause but got an error saying that was already linked.

Yeh, its already linked to the debounce output and his GUI indicators light up. I think the OP has been testing it while jogging which won't work (no program running).

An unsolicited heads up:

PlasmaC - does not stop jogging if float, ohmic, or breakaway is detected during jogging.

QtPlasmaC - does stop jogging if float, ohmic, or breakaway is detected during jogging. In the event that any of the aforementioned switches are activated, jogging will not be allowed in any direction except Z+ until the tripped switch is reset.

Thanks for the heads up. Quick question about PlasmaC. If the z breaks away during a cut, is there a way to raise lower the Z to get the torch back on? Thanks

It will do this automatically; default behavior is to return Z to the starting position during a pause.
