I think the torch is trying to be turned on and is then turned off by Plasmac for some reason.
If that were the case then it should give a lost arc error. Apparently there are no error messages.
Strange, if air starts to flow the torch had to be triggered.

If there was an issue in the torch, the parts in place error would not allow air flow.
The only other possible issue is poor connection on the high voltage side. Torch connections, ground clamp etc. But in my experience, Plasmac would report a fault as you state.
Manually short the relevant torch on pins (1&2 from an earlier thread) to see if it fires.

Press F9 on the keyboard, wait for at least 60 seconds, press F9 again.
Report exactly what is happening.

What is it with you and F9?
WTF does F9 do?
/EDIT AH! I found it....

Edit after laughing subsided:
It is very useful for testing stuff on plasma cutters and when using run from here.

Turned off arc-ok....still the same
Think i am down to shorting the torch on/off wires to see if it fires, either that or a sledgehammer.
When i pulse fire it, the readout on the GUI shows like its getting volts. The readout goes from 0 to 24 and back to 0 when the cycle ends. If i have the plasma turned off and pulse fire the readout dont change so it seems to be working right.
So i am thinking Linuxcnc and QTPlasmaC is doing what it's supposed to be doing. Just for some reason my torch is not firing remotely.
So what's the safest way to short the wires to see if it fires?

Ok i shorted the wires, still same thing it clicks air comes out but no fire.
So i can eliminate anything control wise right?

I have fixed it!!! It was something stupid, talked to the guy who built the torch. This torch needed at least 65psi coming out the torch head AND post flow of at least 30 seconds.

I think Tom surgested it needs at least 6 bar on the first page.

He kept ignoring most of what we said, so i stopped bothering.

That has nothing to do with LinuxCNC ...Switched them and now air comes out when i fire the torch but no fire.
-check air pressure, must be 5 to 6 bar <<<<<<<<<
-check and change the consumables, tighten them properly
-check the clamp for good contact with material
-check the plasma source for the state, in test mode it will not work remotely.
