ok the networking solution was solved. I am pinging my mesa card and typing this out at the same time.

Linux appears to have problems with Realtek network cards (drivers, etc...)
Solution was replace with intel based based network cards. So GREAT NEWS!!!

Now on to installing the pncconf.

In general I do not see any problems with RealTek MACs
(They are very commonly used on motherboards and work fine for realtime)
I wonder if your NIC card has issues

BTW for realtime with Intel MACs you need to disable IRQ coalescing
(as described in the hm2_eth manual page)

PCW, in this instance where i had Realtek PCIe NIC card and 1 onboard intel NIC. The solution so far (for me at least) is to remove Realtek and replace with 2 intel PCIe NIC cards. Worked instantly upon boot.

Currently, i am getting a Joint following error. I wish this one was as easy as renaming [SCALE] to [STEP_SCALE] in the .hal file...

I am having a hard time figuring out what all of the FERROR, MAX_VEL, PID. Can you point me to the dummy glossary? Oh yeah, PWM also... These acronyms are really making it hard for me to figure it out on my own.

Also... I have 1600 steps on a 5.08 TPI ballscrew. No clue how to figure out what to tell linux for steps per revolution.

BigJohnT, on the mesa configuration tool. It writes to the .ini, [scale] not [step_scale] also max_acc i had to change to [_maxaccel]. Those were the only lines i had to deal with specifically before I could bring up the gui.

So now I have joint following error. From my research, it has to do with some sort of timing that i have no clue where i can find information on it.

IF anyone is brave enough to answer please use dummy terms.

Hello everyone.
I have cleared all the faults from loading screen.
i turn on power and release e-stop.. indicator runs around on screen but no motor movement. no studder no noise. the motor is what you could consider free spinning by hand.
I have nema 34 with cl86y drivers. The old C10 bob moved them no problem so i am certain motors and drivers are free from error.

any suggestion or direction would be most helpful... Thank you all for your time.
