I will take a look in a bit when I'm at dev again, I noticed a few dependencies listed in the terminal were called in the build package,  there may be a version issue going on with it not building into the package.   Learning curve for me.. /o\

Sounds like it might.
Assuming a deb install, as an outside chance run this script:
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/qtvcp/designer/install_script

This is for QTVCP but it shares a lot of dependencies with QTPYVCP.

I can confirm that the new packages and instructions work on a fresh install of Debian 12. The only thing that I noticed is that the "sudo apt --fix-broken install" step after the python3_probe_basic package install will fail if you haven't already started LinuxCNC and copied an existing config to your home directory which creates the /home/user/linuxcnc/configs/ folder. You could also create those folders manually. Re-running the command after creating the folders works. I will edit my first post to not confuse new readers.

no need will add to the readme doc and yes i forgot about that
downside of working on an unclean system that had linuxcnc installed already and opened. I may be able to create the directory in the postinst script, I will try and see if it does it!

I wonder if the resources aren’t being compiled so the ATC images are not able to be loaded.
