python that calls MDi commands.
probe_subprog.py and probe_routines.py hold the probing routines for versa probe.
Where those files are depends on whether one is using an installed or compiled version.
but here is the repository version:
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/2.9/li...ts/probe_routines.py

Thank you for your answer. I have just started with LinuxCNC and am trying to understand the tool measurement and probing options. I re-read the manual for QtDragon and QtDragon_hd yesterday. I want to automatically measure tools to be changed during a milling operation. For example, an M6 T4 must move the spindle to the tool change position. There I will change the required milling cutter and then it must be measured before the milling program is processed further. I have a tool length sensor available at this position. I think that QtDragon_hd offers this function.

Both qtdragon and qtdragon_hd can do auto probing of the tool, in fact any screen can.
It's the remap code that allows it.
