Songs like you still have a tool length offset active while probing

Yes I have checked & that is the case. I should have realised.

Thanks.

PS is there a way that when the macro ends it tells LinuxCNC to go back into man mode?
...... Actually now I think about it is it possible to have a usb button that sets it back to man mode.

Replacement for RPI5 was created by tommylight
NOT my video!!!
Bumped into this right now, it seems perfect for LinuxCNC as it is the industrial version of the PS5 APU with 16GB of GDDR memory (8GB CPU/8GB GPU by default). Notice he is using the wrong fans for it, the cooler is made for radial fans, not axial.
Playing CyberPunk 2077 while making chips and costing 96$ !!! Perfection...granted the latency is usable.
If anyone is wiling to send one my way for testing, let me know, i have no way of ordering it for now.
The thing is, those were used for mining crypto, so should be made in huge numbers by Asrock and be readily available, and for the price and performance puts RPI5 in a coma and life support from the get-go.

Hi,

I am using my ATC spindle with a tool setter. Z0 is at the top of the machine.

The Spindle Nose is probed at -202mm (so, entered as 202mm in the GUI).

When probing the tool (measured with a caliper to be around 57mm), it triggers at around -145mm. However, the GUI reports it as 120mm Long. Is there something I can tweak?

Upgraded to deb12 and machine set up great. However when I load a work file I get a weird pattern.  The file is one that I've used many times.

No, unfortunately, I don't know anything about that. I bought a non-working machine with these rulers installed on it. In order not to buy others and save money, I thought that maybe I could use them.

That's what GPT chat told me.)))))))

Haven't been on the forum for a while ... I use FreeCAD quite frequent and I am active in the FC forum. It has done major leaps forward with the 1.0 release. TNP is not fully solved, but much better. Yes, FreeCAD requires patience to learn, has a steep learning curve and you need to be aware of its traps. But it has become a very powerful CAD/CAM/FEM/... package. Du to its Python capability and functional openness, you can do wild things using Python and if needed, program it to your needs (incl. the CAM side). I am coming from the Sketchup and Fusion side, and switched to FreeCAD. I still use Sketchup to design and build furniture (also tables, benches etc. for my job shop, also did my exterior and interior house design with it), but for all the mechanical stuff I switched to FreeCAD (incl. CAM). For electronic stuff I use KiCAD, but compared to FreeCAD quite seldom.

You would need to know the signals levels.
Do you have a full data sheet?

It might work with the common Heidenhain "EXE" boxes
which are sine/cosine interpolators with digital quadrature outputs

I've already installed the QTVCP panel and it works fine, but could you also share the Vismach file so I can see the simulation?

Is it impossible to convert the signal? If it is possible, how?

OK so the output seems to be working correctly, maybe this is a setup issue, perhaps the arc-ok filtering is insufficient
or there is some other issue with the ARC OK signal causing LinuxCNC to drop torch on.

The voltage between out4+ and out4- is going down to 0.06v for my torch on when triggered. my Arc ok goes to 0v and input 07. when torch is close to plate the 07 led is bright like the others but still only flashes for a second. And then i get valid arc lost, some seconds later.
