Hi grandixximo,
Congratulations and big thank you for taking on this long pending task of adding scurve velocity to linuxcnc.
By the mathematics of circular arc blending (used by Rob Ellenberg) in the current linuxcnc planner, there cannot be finite jerk at the transition from a line to a circle or vice-versa. Circular arc blending uses circular arcs to blend the path between two lines or lines and arcs.
To limit jerk at the transition, you need to use a different geometrical primitive than a circular arc.
Grotius has used clothoids and the implementation is available in his clothoid3d library: codeberg.org/skynet/libclothoid3d
Others have used splines. For example opencn uses hermite splines: mecatronyx.gitlab.io/opencnc/opencn/CNC_...tric_Operations.html
Apart from G2/C2 continuity at the junctions, these curves are parameterizable by path length, a property used extensively in the look-ahead optimization.
Once again thank you for taking on this task.

The curent scurve is architecturally limited to works on segments, and the transitions between segments don't respect scurve limits.
We will see if we can improve blending and look ahead to solve this issue.

That sound's more like a wiring or hal file issue than hardware issue with the 7I96S

You might check than the DIR signals for all axis change when jogging each axis in different directions

I am hoping to find some help on my project.EC300 3.1.3 firmware from scott. NVMPG-StockHal files attachedIt seems to "see" the NVMPG, some of the buttons register but it doesnt seem like they are talking properly.  It'll see some of the button presses but the axis selector on the mpg doesn't change even though it registers the changed on linux cnc.  The pulse wheel doesn't move and the DROs don't update.  Some of the buttons register, some dont.  I installed NVMPG.C from scott as well. Kind of lost on where to go next. hopefully its something stupid and simple.Video:https://youtu.be/3qt5uAIqTMM

Hi, I can´t get my mesa card to work right. (It did before.)

The Problem is that only one axis works at a time.

I,m using LinuxCNC 2.9.6 with QtPlasmaC.
Mesa is connected to DM542T drivers.

I swapped the plugs on the mesa to make sure the hardware works correctly.
Tried different stepgen configurations which made different outputs work, but only one at a time.
Looked at the hal pins, which seem good.

I´m out of ideas and hoping for yours.
Thanks

Please update to the most recent version. There was an issue the the handle where you can adjust the ratio of the left and right window part.

Hello everyone!

after a lot of thoughts, i came to the conclusion, that a 3 axis Heidenhain converter from ebay would be the best. The alternive with these small adapters is to expensive (220€ without tax).

For the toolcanger i need an extra 70Ins and 20Outs.

My idea is, that i am going to use 4 7i84 that I will connect to the 7i97T.
One 7i84 on the RS 422 connection und a 7i85 on the 25 pin connection with 3 7i84 connected to it via the Rs 422.

Is this posible or am I going to make a mistake?

I saved some installation files; I meant to delete them, but because they contained important information, they remained.
Thanks for keeping those, I have now uploaded them to the LinuxCNC repository and I have re-issued the 2.9.8 LinuxCNC RTAI package bases on that kernel.

Please try installing linux-image-5.4.279-rtai, booting from that kernel, them removing linux-image-5.4.290-rtai and rtai-modules-5.4.290
Then install rtai-modules-5.4.279 and reinstall linuxcnc (should still be v2.9..

The Kernel Headers are not available for download. Is it necessary, or can I use the one I have here?

im not sure what the issue is to be honest. the drive not trying to home is the major issue right now.

Unfortunately, I don't know either.Since I switched off the handwheel during homing, I haven't had any more jumps. Please upload your .ini and .hal files.

I am using this branch

github.com/scottalford75/Remora/tree/main
This is repository I am using since last 2 years. Used on stm32f429 and stm32f446 both version of octopus pro boards

And also tested this one.
github.com/ben-jacobson/Remora-STM32F4xx-PIO
On octopus pro stm32f446 board

Also tested this repo
github.com/scottalford75/Remora-STM32H7xx-PIO
On BTT skr3 board

All were working. But now every repo gives same problem

Yes payload remains same.
"Bad SPI payload = 32393a38"
Occasionally it's 32393a30

there is none connected. I wonder why the handwheel would do this though. did you do any specific servo drive settings?
