I'm very interested I have seen it used on a Heidenhain machine

You can rotate the head and then machine away like normal.
Anyway I'll get the machine cutting and see how I go

Exactly. This is why it's so much easier to demonstrate the value of TWP on machines with tool side rotation.

Note that this covers also non-nutating kinematics (just set the nutation angle to 90°) and covers BC as well as AC table configurations (adjust 'table-angle' between 0..90°)
