Retrofitting Deckel FP4ATC

Hello everyone!

Does anyone of you guys have the 257 411 01 EXE Platine? Und does anyone have a exakt Pin connection drawing? I have found some online, but i dont know if i can trust them. 

Finaly every component has arived to bring the Deckel back to life.
I am currently installing linuxcnc and getting to know how to write the hal and ini script.
Has anyone a good hal and ini script to use as a base?

Here is the a picture of my elecrticle cabinete. I am also currently marking every wire i have to connect. 

 

I wont use a vfd because the gears give me a good enought rpm range for now.

Hello Guys!

Finally I have some updates !
The linear scales are working! Note to my selfe: dont trust anyone in the internet. 
I will make a sheet, where I will draw up the connection between the exe and the mesacard. Next on the list are the endswiches and the e stop. Hopefully it will move on its own by the end of the week.

My original Maho wiring diagram was wrong for the EXE wiring. I also had to try other pin outs. IIRR Heidenhain seemed to always use one of two pinouts, and the other one worked for mine.

I have the EXE 257 411 01 and I have documented the wiring from the D-Sub plug of the EXE to the MESA 7i97T.

Have you looked in the bottom beside the battery. its a normal place for the upgrade modules ?

Finally the wiring for the EXE and Mesa that worked for me:
I also dont need a extern  12V supply.

Mesa name  /   EXE Pin and colour
1 QA0         /     9  braun
2 /QA0        /     14 grün
3 GND        /      3 grün-weis
4 QB0         /     1 grau
5 /QB0        /     4 rosa
6 +5V          /     2, 6, 10 grün/braun
7 IDX0        /     7 rot
8 /IDX0       /     15 schwarz

And finally the references work! I only can drive the joints very slowly to find the index. Is there a way to drive faster? The index is only 0.001mm wide. sometimes it wont pick up. 

I also milled the first pices! It works great!



I have already recived the 7i74 und the 7i84U´s for the extentions.
On the weekend i will hook up these so i can use the diffrent gear for the spindle.
