Hi Mbrandt,

I am using the Mesa 7i97T for 4 seperate axes with Heidenhain encoders and Tacho DC servo motors on my milling machine.
My servo amplifiers get the setpoint +- 10V and the Enable signal from the Mesa card. Very simple and straightforward. The inputs from the Heidenhain EXE ( I would assume, that your machine has the Heidenhain EXE card/units on board) are also easy to connect. The read-out of the positions worked immediately.
I bought the MESA card from EUSurplus in Portugal - the only source, where it was available in Europe, Highly recommended dealer.

Best regards

Hartwig

Hello Hartwig,
Thank you for your reply. I think my machine has some sort of EXE, its a board and the name is NCP59. But i dont know where to intercept the TTL signal from it. There is a version of this board with an extra digital output, but i dont have it on my machine. And buying 3 Heidenhein EXE is a step back. I would like to use a modern version of that.  Maybe a 7i85S or someting like that?

And the Suplier you sent seams good and I will buy der 7i97T from him.

Here is a picture of the NCP 59:

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHello Mbrandt.
I have used the following type of "HDH Exe Platine" with 3 channels.

Very simple and very small. It fits between the glas scales and to the MESA directly. For mine I have paid less than 200 Euro.

I can't advise on whether there are Mesa cards which can work directly with the Heidenhain scales. EXE610C units are cheap on eBay here, so I purchased 3 for my FP2NC conversion. Meridian Measurement Systems has a newer converter product, which I suspect is based on the iC-Haus iC-NV chip:

I plan to use a 6i25 and 7i77 Mesa Plug-N-Go kit, which I already had on hand. The conversion isn't finished yet.

Hello!
The idea with the Heidenhein board isn't bad. It's definitely a very solid solution.

I have already asked another company about these small converters. If they are suitable I would like to use them because they are small.
