My rpi4 came with small heat sinks. That plus a fan seems to keep it in the 40-50c range.

Perhaps the wrong topic...on the off chance this is RPI4 / 4.19.y-rt related...appreciate any guidance.

I've been getting these:
Code:
[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue [xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called [xcb] Aborting, sorry about that. python: ../../src/xcb_io.c:263: poll_for_event: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed. /home/pi/cnc/linuxcnc/scripts/linuxcnc: line 896: 2334 Aborted $EMCDISPLAY -ini "$INIFILE" $EMCDISPLAYARGS $EXTRA_ARGS Shutting down and cleaning up LinuxCNC...

I'm running GMOCCAPY and I am on master (pretty much).

I'm more fam with axis, but I have NOT seen such an error. So I've no clue if thats related or not, Its a data point only.

I have a rebuild under way after hand patching the rpspi files with the rp4 patch.. That might make it run on a pi4, but I have got to collect more adapters before I can swap the 3 out. Buster straight from a debian-arm netinstall is arm64, not armhf, so the rpspi code may need more editing yet. Buster from the debian-arm install sure runs nice once you nuked enough net stuff to make a static setup work.

Does anyone know if the RealtimePi guy has a realtime kernel that uses the new broadcom video code on the pi3b's yet. That would certainly be a heck of an improvement as i brings glxgears, pulled out to full screen, up to very close to 30 fps.
Thats about 20x faster than I'm getting on a stretch install on the pi3b. We're getting there.

The above patches aren't quite enough. Built on a pi3b running buster, which is arm64, rpspi doesn't recognize its running on a pi3b, so it bails out. Should it still run as normal on arm64 as opposed to armhf?

Thanks.
