I can confirm that the latest version builds, installs and runs on an OrangePi One with 512MB of RAM. I would not choose this board for anything other than testing. Running a browser takes up all the memory and often stalls or crashes.

Armbian does NOT use the GPU hardware accel drivers for the Mali400. I tested and installed the latest Buster Armbian_21.02.3_Orangepione_buster_current_5.10.21_xfce_desktop.img.xz
www.armbian.com/orange-pi-one/#kernels-archive-all
It uses LLVM pipe software rendering.
We need to build a version that uses the Panfrost drivers.

Mali-400 (lima/mesa) isn't a big option to make desktop OpenGL apps works fast. Mali-400's performance is too small and it supports only OpenGL ES.
Mali-T720's (H6 SoC) performance is much better. Already tested with Panfrost. But Mali-T720 supports only OpenGL ES, as H3.

I also had to turn the Compositing OFF in the desktop settings to speed up desktop movement. Again, I'm using the 512MB Opi One here with H3. Core clock governor at 1200 MHz min and max.

Hello all
I just installed armbian buster xfce to an OrangePiPluse2e
the got the repo for orangecnc and ran the install script
no problems
it just worked.
then i checked the ini and hal for 3A_test and saw it was safe to run ( no limit switches no estop switch , just xyz step/dir and pwm for a spindle)
I saw it used arisc_pwm for the stepgens and knew it wouyld be using the arisc side of the Opi_2e ( great )
It runs well,
I have AXIS running fullscreen and can pan zoom and rotate quickly while running 3Dchips( tool change removed temporarily , not handled in hal )
I got NO unexpected realtime delays UNTIL i browsed intenet while running AXIS.
I can simply _not_do_that_
thanks MXMaster
send me a pm if you have a way to get you some scratch.
