hello everyone, I have continued doing tests and the power supply of the MAX3232 is 3.3V which remains fixed without connecting the I/O power supply, it goes with the board's power supply, for which I ask the following question in the forum I ask the Keep asking everyone around here:
Someone has connected the RS232 output (RXD TXD and GND) in a physical COM port DB9 connector, Scott could you tell me which is the USB-RS232 converter that you use in the video where you show the configuration of the board, I have an oscilloscope at work for what I will use it to see the waveform on the rs232 side, although that will have to wait until Monday because I don't get the stlinks, thanks to all

Hello. The signal from 0-10V takes about 13 seconds. Is it possible to use pwm-gen to increase the frequency? Can you advise how to set up the hall? I tried it but it doesn't work. I don't know how to continue and to which pin to connect the pwm-gen. Well thank you

Sounds like you have an earlier NVEM which has the op amp type analogue output. I think some Mach3 users have changes the capacitor to improve the responsiveness.

Also, you will not be able to use the pwmgen component as it needs to run in a base thread.

Thank you very much. I also used 1uF. Now it's about 0.5 seconds from 0-10V.

Hey there,

sorry if i missed it, would anyone have the pinout for the Headers of the NVEM Board (on the underside) with the later RT1052 MCU?. Unfortunately those dont have any marking on the pinout.

Thanks!
Alessandro

Thanks Scott, but thats for the EC300 I understand? Would the NVEM use the same order of pinout?

I finally got my oscilloscope today and put it to work right away.

This first image is what I get out of the optocoupler; Voltage goes from -10V to +8V and the wave is all but square... the less said about the duty cycle, the better.

This second one is the output on VSO (sorry for the quality, it was difficult to take a picture while holding the probe to one of the pins); again goes both positive and negative, is about 250mV p-p and does not approximate a ramp in any way, shape or form.

Given these waveforms, I think I'll not be able to drive the spindle directly, it's almost as if the PWM section of my board is faulty.

What do you think?

Best Regards,
Alberto

Hi Scott, I've been testing with remora-rt1052 for a couple of days and there has been progress, as I mentioned before I managed to fake remora-rt1052.bin without problems, I installed the remora-nv component, I ping the board without problems, LinuxCnC Exits E-Stop as expected, homing ok, Gcode execution starts, but I get !!!!following errors!!!!! sporadic in LinuxCnC, I have tried lowering the speedups, changing the FERROR and MIN_FERROR and I have not had any luck, I have taken as first reference the sample configuration of remora-nvem-basic and the remora-nv component from Scott's repository for a clean configuration to perform tests.

I can't think of anything else to try if you have an idea of course it will be well received.
I am going to prepare LinuxCnC in RPI4 to test since right now I am on a computer with debian 12 but enough for today 2:37 am, exhausted. ideas please......
