You probably dont have python installed.

You can try to download and install from here:
www.python.org/downloads/release/python-3114/

Hi.
It seems your very hard work is totally useless...
No guide, no docs, no examples (yes, it is one, but only 3 stepgens and nothing else)...
I bought EC500 and I don't know what the next...
Should I sell the board to some Mach3 user ?

I ordered two DAP devices (www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003056314140.html and www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005471801078.html probably I will get tomorrow).
These are different devices, which one I should use ?

How to upload firmware to board (Linux) ?

What I should do next ?

How to configure outputs and inputs in hal ?
I don't know even pins names...

How to configure Spindle PWM ?
I see there is "Spindle PWM" in ec500-rt1052.txt, but I know nothing else...

And last, but most important :
How to test your project without basic knowledge about it ?

Easy man. Scott is doing outstanding job for free, so at least be respectful.
Linuxcnc is not plug and play system so don't expect everything to be ready in 5 minutes.

If you would take your time going through this thread you would find a youtube video for flashing guide:

Rest of the questions are related to linuxcnc configuration, which has nothing to do with remora firmware itself.

NO.
If you do anything, do it good.
If you do something that does not work, there is no reason to be gratitude, even when you do it for free.

If you do anything, do it good.

I absolutely agree.
So, that begs the question:
What did you do that is good in any way shape or form for others? For free, that cost you a lot of time and trouble to do good. Anything?

Dude that's bang out of line. He has a full time job, and probably a family. He does this for free , for the community in his spare time.Thats a good thing. Im only learning, and I get frustrated when things don't work, but that's my fault from lack of knowledge. Download the Linuxcnc manual, you will learn a lot from it. if you want things to just work spend money on another suite like centroid CNC , mach4 etc

Is anyone seeing the guy forcing someone to use remora? the answer is no, so if you buy a board and want to do the tests and you can't get anywhere, the problem is all yours, the guy takes his time to do something, puts it here for free and still has people to complain, this world is really lost, if you don't like something, do it yourself, simple as that.

In regards to pin names my suggestion is to use the built in linuxcnc parallel port config creator and set it up for your machine.
Then copy the pins for the io and other bits into the remora config.
Then just replace the parallel port pin names with the remora ones.

Understand you are asking for alot of a what I would call alpha stage project.
Once it gets it's into late beta is when it will have more hand holding guides and configs for users of lesser abilities.
To find the pin names if they are not spelled out for you just read the code to find them.
If you are unable to grasp even the ability to read code I suggest you wait or try a different solution.

remora-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
This is the documentation for the spi version of remora that uses 3d printer main boards.
This may give you an idea of pin names.
I use this version and not the ec500.
