Hi all
I was wondering if there is any alternative to programming the NVEM type boards with the stlink usb programmers.
I have an EC300 board & have been trying unsuccessfully to program it for a number of weeks.
I have tried powering up the board with the button pressed thinking that might be the problem & now when I power it up the connection light comes on even though there is no ethernet cable connected.
I have ordered some new stlink usb programmers & still cannot communicate with them.
When I try to connect with the stm32cube programming software it says unknown device type (a new one straight out of the packet). The windows stlink software complains about a missing dll file & when I try to do it using linux I get more errors.
Is there an easier way to program these chips or do you normally have to fight your way through this hit & miss process?
Thanks
Alex

I've had no luck using a non-converted ST-Link V2 with pyOCD and still use the ones converted to a CMSIS-DAP probe.
You cannot use stm32cube programming software with the RT1052 based boards.
Have you tried converting one of your ST-Links to a CMSIS-DAP probe?

I don't really know what that means.
I assume I have to re-flash the stlink.
Could you give me some pointers to some info on how to do this.
Much appreciated.

I received my EC500. It seemed to programme ok. Is there anyway of knowing if the board took the remora config? I dropped it into the daplink and then it disappeared just like the video. I rebooted the EC500, one thing I noticed is the Conn LED is now on. I'll try to do the rest in a few days and hook it up to linuxcnc.

A USB to serial adaptor is the other way to see the board boot up.

A few ways. Easiest would be to hook up the Ethernet and try to ping the board at 10.10.10.10I received my EC500. It seemed to programme ok. I use the CMSIS-DAP firmware available here

It would be good to put a "light sensitivity warning" at the start it that video, it flickers a lot, might cause issues for people with epilepsy.

v1.0.0 is now ready for testing!
github.com/scottalford75/Remora-RT1052-cpp
I must say that the RT1052 has been a challenging learning curve, but now we have a fully functional C++ Remora firmware with the dynamic configuration capabilities of the original Remora firmware. There's been challenges along the way, and now the last issues with cache management have been resolved and things look to be working well.
Feedback on bugs and issues appreciated, as well as feature requests welcome.

I'm back from mach4 after a while.
I have just flashed new firmware and inputs and outputs seems to stop working on my recent settings.
And also some outputs seems to be on: 5, 7, 12, 14, 16 on startup.
And changing output states in Halshow (Pins->remora->output) does not really change output state.
What did I miss?
I tried default config (github.com/scottalford75/Remora-RT1052-c.../remora-rt1052-basic) and it's the same.
