Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if the 5 output pins and the Index (assuming input) pin for the Spindle are working for the EC500 RT1052?
Would love a pin map if anyone has done it, cheers.

Hello, i have a spare EC300 board and i wanted to give this a try since im having a really strange behaviour in Mach3 (see here i.ibb.co/PmPGD9Y/IMG-20230420-WA0003.jpg and feel free to help).
Does anyone have a working X,Y setup with 0-10V VSO?
Also my motors have a feedback encoder which is currently connected to the stepper control, does that mean i need to set a PID controller in LinuxCNC? I though the stepper controller would take care of that.

Hi, would great to see this running a laser setup. The example config could simply have the Z and Joint 2 aspects removed.

For 0-10V see the Remora documentation for example spindle control. The 0-10V is on SP 0.

Re PID settings, nothing needed on the LinuxCNC side.

Ok so i edited the message because i was able to dump my EC300
i used
but wrt to the content you have here
github.com/scottalford75/Remora-RT1052/b...1052-EC300-0.2.0.bin
it is substantially different (other than size).
mega.nz/file/FRU32bpa#xrkf1Zzeffr2hB9MKo...vsMV0cnhiK6L5qnsccJM
How can we understand which is newer?
Or will your version work on mine anyway?
In the middle of the board i have the following
i.ibb.co/KwwZBWL/IMG-20230501-094318.png
i used
pyocd commander -t mimxrt1050_quadspi -c "savemem 0x60000000 0x400000 ec300.bin"

You have the same version of the board used to develop Remora for the RT1052. Should be good!

I was comparing with the Remora binary rather than the ec300.bin
That one is identical in fact
Before proceeding i have few more questions:
1. Is it better RTAI or RT version? Given i would rather use it for something more than LinuxCNC i would prefer RT version. Does it matter?
2. My biggest issue with the laser that forced me to use G4 command when passing from one engraving/cut to the other is because in Mach3 the M3 command is not tight to the axis movement, so the axis might move before the laser has turned on or off. The solution for other board is to use M11Px (which is tight to an axis movement) but for the EC300 Mach3 i had to dwell a bit. Unfortunately this dwell is the source of the error on the path i've reported above as if the board was "lagging" (i think timer management is screwed). Are you aware of a possible solution?

Cakeslob has been working on expanding the SPI version of Remora to more boards and has adapted the static config code from Flexi Hal. His work reminded me that Remora already has a functioning software encoder module.
Got me thinking that a the dynamic config capabilities of the STM based firmware would be really handy on the RT1052 version. So to solve the C++ issues that stopped that development for the RT1052.
We'll after quite some head scratching and nutting this out, I've got a core C++ version running finally! Ethernet is up and the base and servo threads are running.
Hopefully it's not to much more work to get a TFTP server running so that we can upload a config to the RT1052 boards. Utilising some of the inputs for encoders will be a fun demonstration.

I was wondering if someone could put their 2c worth on this.
I have received a EC300 board & tried to flash it....Failed.
I get an error (posted below) I have searched the internet & got no further understanding of what the problem is.
I have tried to re-flash my EC500 board which previously worked. Now failing.
I have tried a different stlink module (checked the wiring is correct) Same error.
I cannot get these stlink things to work or they work for five min & pack it in for no reason.
There has to be a better way.
