Error in ArcBuddy

I got it! (sort of...)
I typed everything in, and for a [Starting Point] I used =
x1.9375 y5625
When I clicked on the [Show me] button, it re[populated and changed it to the following =
x2.0417 y06977
This was giving me the error, so I thought I'd try it once it had already populated.
It worked!
I modified the arc beginning from 315 to 307.3 and I my starting point is
x1.9374 y0.6016
I can see a slight deviation at the start, but the ending lines up!! I think a bit of adjusting on the circle's "Center" might line it up perfectly!!
I'll let you know, thanx!

Is this
(New arcbuddy - still an error)
(G1 x2.0417 y06977)
supposed to be this?
(New arcbuddy - still an error)
(G1 x2.0417 y0.6977)
note the decimal point.
BTW, the N numbers don't do a thing except clutter up your G code file. If your using a post processor you can turn them off.

LOL...Missing decimal point. OOps!!!! I guess I missed that one. D'oh~! :pinch:
Regarding the N-code...
I write the code in an excel file and use the N -code to help me keep track of what line has an error on it. (Granted, the LinuxCNC gives me a message stating "near line ### " but when I open up the file, I can do a quick [Search] to find it.
Progress Update -
Okay, I *have* managed to get the triangle completed~!! However it isn't perfect. A have a bevel in the bottom left corner and a slight bulge in the bottom right corner. I reckon I need to do more tweaking and see what it gets me.
Thank you *very* much for the assistance~!!!
PS - In this new version, for me, the [Quit] button no longer quits/exits the program. (shrugs)

Odd, the Quit button works for me. You are using Ubuntu 10.04 right?
If this is a simple triangle with rounded corners you might have better luck drawing the triangle in Qcad then rounding the corners and getting the start and end points and arc locations and translating that to G code.

Qcad? I can take a look at that, thanx. (Hopefully it is free!!)
I'm not a graphic artist, nor a programmer. I've sampled with Inkscape and maker cam, and they seem okay but because I cannot fully use/understand them I think using Inskscape is akin to using a sledgehammer to drive a finishing nail.
Makercam is okay, but half the time the pocket operations don't work out, and with some of my drawings, the program crashes.
I've recently downloaded HeeksCNC and WINTOPO. Heeks seems to work, but intermittenly - I know the problem is on my end as I am struggling to understand this program. I'm using WINTOPO to convert my drawings from JPG into a DXF format to import into HeeksCNC, and at least I've got that one working well!
In the interim, I continue with programming everything by hand, using Paint Shop Pro #6 and Microsoft Excel
Take a look at the image below :
I start with a template image that represents graph paper.
Then I add one layer at a time, each layer representing its own function.
Example =
one for cribbage pegs-holes
one for borders
one for curves
etc...
Legend for the image below:
Pink grid: this is the background; 1/32" (.0312") spacing.
Blue 'plus signs' and numbers = 1/8" (.125") drill points & series indicator for "Player 1" (NOTE:Green is player #2)
Black line; initial edge
Light blue line: cutting edge. The space between the blue line and black will be beveled on my table router
Red 'Plus signs' indicators for the 1/4" (.25") router bit.
Purple circle: lining up the rounding of the corners.
Black 'Plus signs' = router bit indicators I can copy and past in the image as needed...
Then I look up the X and Y references on the sides, and type each one in to excel, each letter and number gets its own cell (example 'X' in one cell, and then 1.0625 it the next one)
Yea, it is a *LOT* of work. But it works, and I'm not the kind of guy who can sit and understand text manuals. I really try, but I have to be told preciesly what to do, or shown.

That's quite a tool chain. For accuracy I prefer to not involve bitmap files in my CAD CAM process.
I created a triangle in Qcad and rounded the corners then got the dimensions I needed to use ArcBuddy to calculate the arc.
If you create a layer for each thing then you can turn them on and off to unclutter the drawing.
