[strike]Can you post your material file, something like <machine_name>_material.cfg[/strike]
Edit2: It won't be that, but if you edit your material file and change [VERSION 1] to [VERSION 1.1] it will get rid of that upgrade nag.

Edit1: What flavour of Linux are you using?

AFAIK this requires code in the .axisrc file.
(but maybe Phill covers this somewhere with PlasmaC)
Code:
# Find the largest size possible and set AXIS to it maxgeo=root_window.tk.call("wm","maxsize",".") try: fullsize=maxgeo.split(' ')[0] + 'x' + maxgeo.split(' ')[1] except: fullsize=str(maxgeo[0]) + 'x' + str(maxgeo[1]) root_window.tk.call("wm","geometry",".",fullsize) # Uncomment for fullscreen #root_window.attributes('-fullscreen', True)

Yeah, there is code in the USER_COMMAND_FILE to do that but the problem he has is that when he runs LinuxCNC it starts with Axis minimized.

ahh right - I think devilspie was one solution.
help.ubuntu.com/community/Devilspie

certainly heavy handed though.
