That error points to a lost connection due to cable disconnection or loss of power to the board.

That's concerning, I double checked the connections and I didn't find any reason for the card to throw that error.

At any rate, I'm having a bit of trouble integrating the Toma halfiles into my existing INI/HAL from my table. I really need this table working three weeks ago... I'd prefer to pay someone to compile this build and directly help troubleshoot. Had I weeks more to learn all the systems I would be happy, and will be happy to when time isn't a factor.

What exactly are you having trouble with?
There are some things that need to be edited, namely, the ini file needs to have hal files added the thc.hal and pyvcp hal, pyvcp xml, Z axis section needs to have a big ferror set. Also the thc.hal file needs to have joint.2.xxxxx.cmd and joint.2.xxx.fb connected properly.
Sorry i can not go into more detail for now, will try later.

Snuggly,

Did you have the table working already with a normal configuration?

I was able to get the table moving under it's own power. The output for the torch relay - hm2_7i96.0.ssr.00.out-00 doesn't work for tb3 pins 13&14.

The files that I've edited so far are: thc.hal, thc_co (not yet enabled), my custom Hal and Ini for the 7i96.

I was having trouble adapting the thc.hal with the updated "joint" prefix. For example, the Toma thc.hal has a line: axis.2.joint-pos-cmd... Do I just need to replace "zxis" with "joint"?

I found some 7i96 specific pin callouts on a different thread.
forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/34663-mesa-7i96-inputs

I tried ...ssr.00.out-01
Since the pin i wrote in "does not exist" I'm not quite sure what's wrong.

In other news, I've since added in the .xml, and swapped all "axis" to "joint" in the thc.hal

Was very busy and will be for the foreseeable future, but i will give it a try in next few days. I already have the 7i92/7i77 on the desk wired and working, and another 6i25/7i77 on the workshop desk.

Okay, I was able to fix the relay issue and am now encountering my previous concern. The error is now "joint.3.motor-pos-cmd was already linked to signal z-pos-cmd"

I was expecting an error, however this goes far beyond my already limited knowledge of the system.

Snuggly,

Can you make a clean copy of a good working machine without without any plasma relationships ?
The most bare config that works for you.

Has Tommy no existing working config available for you? I know he uses a stepper for z axis with Mesa.
But you don't want to i think.
