Hello tommy,
Your pid tutorial was perfect until we tried to achieve rotary delta kinematics with encoder scale. Could you suggest an article about scaling like yours "Servo Tuning detailed How To". I thought you may write about scaling but I could not find. Or you may give some tips. Even I could not find encoder pulse countings to check how many pulse equals to one turn.

Detatch the motor from the machine, no need to do that for spindle:
Start Linuxcnc
In the machine menu click on calibration
Set the encoder scale for the axis you are testing to what you think it should be, like 2000,
Go to MDI after you home all axis and type:
G0 X 2000 ( or Y or Z )
That should do 1 turn lf the motor, if it does not, repeat with other values while noting how much the motor actually moves.

Hello tommy,
When I set encoder scale 100, G0 X 100 command turns 1 turn. Thank you. This was my first meaningful movement in LinuxCNC. But isnt it so small for a servo. I find a full closed loop resolution parameter in ASDA-A2 manual. It is P1-72 and 5000 as default. I expected 5000 as encoder scale.

Nasilinsen abey ?
Can you please attach the hal and ini files here.
If the encoders are 5000 ppr, the setting in the ini file should be 20000 due to quadrature nature of the signal.

İyi değilim abey? I am trying to understand about scaling last 7 days.
I changed encoder scale to 20000. Servos jumped when I power on on the LinuxCNC
And you are not turkish arent you?
