Sorry I wrote that wrong, its the other way round.
24v is on across ENA+ to ENA- but when I press F1 then F2 the 24v drops (no voltage across ENAs.)

Still cant get this to work, I can enable the drive by shorting between OUT0- and OUT0+ on TB5 i/o.
I am getting close to giving up on this, is there anyone in UK SE of London who could have a look at this for me?

Are you saying that when F2 is pressed and the voltage across ENA+ and ENA-
drops from 24V to near 0V, the drive is not enabled? (and LinuxCNC has not dropped
out of the machine_on state due to say a following error)

When I press F2 (machine on state), the voltage drops from 24v to 0V on ENA+ and ENA-.on TB3, (there is 24v on the TB5 OUT0- OUT0+)
Linuxcnc at this stage is in machine_on state, then when I try to jog Z axis we get the following error after 15 seconds. The drive never enables dont get the run on led display.

I found out that if i short out OUT0- to OUT0+ I can enable the Z Servo drive
Might not have anything to do with what we are talking about, or it might be lol.
If u look at the photo of the 7i97 I uploaded there is abunch of blue wires on the TB5

Not sure what advice to give without an accurate description of the wiring
You would expect
ENA0+- --> X Drive enable
ENA1+- --> Y Drive enable
ENA2+- --> Z Drive enable

At this point I have my doubts especially if OUT0 enables a drive...
