Hi guys.

Can someone help me to find proper driver for  DC brushless servo in decent price for this motor please?

SHINANO KENSHI LA052-040E7N01

I want to convert Roland TS-400 to  Linuxcnc / Mach3.
Also what TYPE of servo it is- TYPE 1 or TYPE 2 (see attachment please). The same servo is in Roland EGX 400/600 and MDX500 /650

So far I think ASC806 will be OK, but is not cheap.

Long time ago was similar topic but without clear answer.

I also found this:
eu.aspina-group.com/en/contact/pdf/ASPINA_motor_catalog.pdf

Which seems to suggest that your motors are either 24V / 40W ot 75V / 40W. And I can't find any clue as to how to tell which.

It may be that the motors are specced both for star (74V) and delta (24V) wiring. What wires come out of the motor, do you see three pairs of thicker wires that have a few ohms resistance beween them?

24V 40W is a good fit for a Mesa 7i39.

I assume that you don't have the original drives, or you would be using them? Is there a DC supply for the drives, or was that part of the drives?

While I can't speak for the ts-400, I have an MDX-650 I am trying to do something similar with. All the original electronics in the machine are completely proprietary with the drivers integrated into the main board that, on the machine I have, died. Coming out of the servos are 3 bigger wires with roughly 1-ohm impedance. Then an assortment of presumably sensor wires

Edit - Just looked at the data sheet and the 1-ohm impendence seems to suggest the motors are of the 24v delta spec

Thank you for replay. Motor is rated to:

24VDC 3phase UVW
5V Hall UVW
Encoder 5V AB
So far I connected servo to BLD-300B and works, but it can't be use for X,Y,Z axis. I want to use BLD-300B later to drive the DC48V / 100W "Roland" spindle.
Mesa 7I39 looks OK. If will be version with 3 channels, than will be perfect.
What do you think about Leadshine ELD2 ?

Note that the 7i39 needs to be paired with a "50 pin" Mesa card, such as the 5i24/6i24 or 7i80HD[1]. The "DB25" family of cards won't work with it.

What do you think about Leadshine ELD2 ?

Looks like a decent option, though I couldn't find pricing.

[1]7i93 probably doesn't have enough pins. 7i90 / 7i43 would be OK if you have an EPP parallel port but the 7i43 has the same pin-shortage problem as the 7i93. 5i22 / 5i23 are expensive and no better than the 5i24/6i24

Why life never is easy :-) ?

Yesterday I tried the ACS606. I could turn servo, but it's for AC motors and encoder read over 5000 steps error. ACS606 cost ~$80, ELD2 ~$130.

I asked  LG Motion Ltd        for the cheapest solution. Maybe they will be able to help.
