tell me more about the adaptor..
all I need this time is to make the motor spin ...not to orient the spindle ...just to rotate with the analogic signal. .
for that I need to know what signal is recommended and their position on cn2

If you put a voltage of 10V between pins 1 and 2, the motor should spin at highest speed, i.e. 6000rpm. -10V should result in spinning in the other direction. +-5V should equate 3000rpm and so on.

ricardo wrote: Hi,
have Brother TC-321 with similar Spindle drive 20BA150FFWB2. All axes and spindle connected to motherboard with 20 pin connectors. Axes and spindle shares the same connector pinout:

1 > (TB5)24 AOUT
2 > (TB5)23 GND
3 > (TB4)17 QA5

5 >(TB4)20 QB5
6 >(TB4)21 /QB5
7 >(TB4)20 IDX5
8 >(TB4)21 /IDX5
15 >(TB5)22 ENA5+
16 >(TB5)21 ENA5-

17 - + 24V
18 - Alarm out

Pin 2 is Analog GND
Pin 12 labelled P15V, i wonder what that means and why it is connected to Pin 17?
Pin 16 is Digital GND

I would try to keen analog and digital GND separated.

Also insteresting is Pin 10 "P-Control". Seems to be digital output just like Pin 15.

The axis servo drive of the brother tc-225 is something different than in the tc-321, there is only one board with 3 20 pin idc connectors, x-y-z are connected with 1:1 ribbon cables.

I found another retrofit of a similar machine that has some description of pinouts: github.com/laserK3000/tc215Retrofit

Hi!
10 days ago we purchase TC-215....so I would like join your Adventure :)
Amaizin that after 30 years machine is in perfect condition...all electronic still works fine.

Our plans:
- replace CN boards with mesa and make a pin compatible convertion board to use existing cables.
- will keep spindle
- keep servopack and X Y Z for a while ( in future probably replace with Yaskawa 5 servopack with 400 wh motors)
- probably will use Xplore C5 as contorl pc and touch screen (probably will make some additional buttons panel)

I have some experience in electronic, progaraming and mechanics. Open to share all info thet we have.

At this moment I
- draw electrical scheme of my TC-215 ( hope it's pretty similar to 225?)...
- have gdoc tables with all connectors and relay
- using info from this foum (MANY THANKS!!!!) I connect to drive and can move axis motors.

Have some questions at this moment and will appriciate any advices
1. could You please advice (with some explanation) best mesa set for our task. I thought ablut:
a) 5i25 + 7i77 with pci comp and monitor (benefit ti use ready project form github.com/laserK3000/tc215RetrofitlaserK3000]laserK3000
b) 7i93 (or 7i80) + 7i48 +?? ( can use Explore C5 with ethernet connection)
c) or any other....new....?
2. for some reason spindle driver don't work (come to SV error?) from my 20 pin test cable. axis drives work fine (I short enable to ground and put +-10 to 1pin) Spindle itself work fine from CN board. Could You give some advices please.

Thanks and hope You will accept me in youe Adventure :)
