Yes I have looked at this site and everyone I can find, BUT, I know NOTHEN about installing and setup without a GUI. The last time I tried to follow the instruction for gambad setup EMC2 would not start. Scared me silly and I went off screeming like a little girl. If I set up a gampad for gaming would that setup carry over to EMC2 or does it HAVE to be in HAL? CarlHave you looked here?

But it is worth it to get the gamepad working and you will learn a lot.
You might want to save your current configuration and start a new one to try.
If you get stuck look at the error messages and we can probably help.

Hay Rick, it went up in smoke. I am trying to follow the "Simple Remote Pendent" instructions and got lost with the name. My gampad is named "Mackintosh" and I could not see where you put the name. I undid every thing I put in the HAL and ini files and got the program working again.Rick G wrote:

loadusr -W hal_input -KRAL Dual
try
loadusr -W hal_input -KRAL Mackintosh
Make sure that step works before you proceed.

First step doesn't work. No mater what I try for name it won't EMC won't start. Removing, -KRAL Macintosh , will let EMC start. CarlInstead of
loadusr -W hal_input -KRAL Dual
try
loadusr -W hal_input -KRAL Macintosh
Make sure that step works before you proceed.

less /proc/bus/input/devices
