I've never used remap or leafpad so I'm a bit lost about them. I usually use gedit on linux and notepad++ on windows. If your editor changes the line endings LinuxCNC will not like it.

Still don't know what Leafpad does or why it does it, just installed gedit instead. I'm on Xbuntu 12.04.4 so the xfce equivilent must have been Leafpad.

Check that you have the subroutines in the correct directory.

Hi RIck
It's all good now. Turned out to be incorrect line endings in the file, when I resaved it as LF it worked straight away. Kinda had me stumped for a while....
