I found your file on the Fusion 360 forum. I will take a look at it to see what is going on.

I tried to edit the first operation and it locked up when I tried to select the tool. So I decided to try to redo the cam portion of the file. I deleted all of the operations. I checked out the setup and it was not defined. You need to define the wcs for the machining setup and select the part to be machined. Both of these were incomplete. I then added a facing operation and selected a tool with no problem. I then ran the emc post processor on the cam and it worked fine.
I then went back to your original file and redid the setup and I could define a tool without issue.
I think the problem is with the initial setup in cam.

There are so many odd behaviors from Fusion 360!
When I try to run the ngc file that I have (attached), I get the following message when I try to run the simulator:
2 - can't do that (EMC_TASK_PLAN_RUN) in auto mode with the interpreter reading
No particular line, and it does this even when I do RUN from everything reset.

Clayton,
I have no problem running the file you attached except for the impossibly slow feed rate of 0.17mm/min.
I don't think the issue is with the file that Fusion 360 is generating. It is something with your LinuxCNC configuration or simulator configuration.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I have no way to check this yet; my CNC mill is waiting for a part.

I tried to do what you suggested, deleting all operations and recreating the setup without any more success on the Tool Select. Could you possibly show me the Setup screen settings before you do each operation?

I am attaching a PDF of the setup steps and some toolpaths that I generated with your file.
I am also attaching an updated version of your file with the 3d adaptive toolpath.
NOTE!!! Delete the .txt from the part file name before you try to use it.
Also note that the toolpaths I generated are not set up for your tooling or machine they are examples only and need to be properly set up by you for your tooling.
