Can you be specific as to the error/problem? I can't even guess what is wrong without some actual info.

Hi JT
Sorry for not answering quickier, I was controlling where was my error, I was writing the full path to the gcode file, now is ok. The fact is that there are too many clicks to do for the operator, I would like a way were I just have to point the label and the gcode runs. My barcode scanner arrived it is the BCST-20 1D model from inateck , I might have done wrong not buying a 2D instead. Thanks a lot for the script and your patience, if you could modify it to make it more operator friendly and make it work also with a barcode scanner.

Hi JT
Fantastic idea!
Where are you? USA? I'm going to search for a convenient one and then I would need your address.

Hello guys, can any of you explain, please, what does this document meant. It seems to me that all those barcode scanner listed on the document are 100% compatible with Linux or I am wrong.

Do Honeywell hand held scanners interface with Linux?

As stated early on in this post, I had used a 3800g to open files in Linuxcnc by creating a appropriate barcode.

I had understood perfectly your post and I thank you, I have already taken a 1D barcode scanner compatible with linux, now I'm searching for a 2D one. I readed the manual for the Honeywell 3800g, it only reads 1D codes and the 2D Code PDF ...thanks to you my doubt is now clarified, it was just a language problem. Thank you
