Barcode scanning to run gcode

I got the 2d scanner and the simple way is to click on the open icon then scan the bar code then click on open. I'm still working on a more automatic way but I thought I'd update.

Hello John.
Sorry I didn't answer earlier but I was waiting for the bar-code scanner (like yours) to arrive. I followed your procedure which you indicated in the other thread, I'm able to put the scanner in vcom mode rs232 scanning the manual label and following the python configuration, but there must be something I'm doing wrong because it doesn't load the "o"-gcode at all.
I know this is a very small subject in LinuxCNC, but please don't quit. I'd be greatful.
