What version of linuxcnc are you using?
I believe this should work in master - ill have to check in 2.7

i should mention - if you wish to use matchbox with the 2.7 version that is possible - by adding some python code to a file.
It should be pretty painless.

In the interest of simplicity I added the code to the file.
Place this file in the configuration folder you are using industrial in.
Gscreen will use this handler file rather then the internal one.
For some reason I can't post a python file on here directly so I compressed it - remember to un-compress it in the folder.
If all goes well matchbox should show.

Hello Chris,

Have downloaded and un-compressed the handler-py file to my linuxcnc config folder, but can't start the matchbox

I need more information.
start linuxcnc from a terminal.
It will print a lot of information to the terminal.
first try the show keyboard button and see if anything obvious prints in the terminal.
otherwise if you could copy and paste the text of the terminal when linuxcnc first starts I will look at it.

So then I need the information printed when you first start linuxcnc - it will tell me if it is loading the modified file or the default file.
