Rod the reason for the odd value in the scale is I think in hacking the PP I wanted 5mm per one complete turn on the mpg I don't know what the pitch of the screws are and there is a lot of python code that is used as well. The Tormach is imperial.
The jog scale is multiplied by the ilowpass scale that is probably why you had such a shock. The code above works fine and smooth for me now. I only want to use the mpg's for manual working one click is 0.05m now.

ilowpass works with integers, so the only way that it can do less than one click is to make every click look like 1000 clicks of 1/1000 the size.
So if you are using ilowpass you need to make the jog-scales 1000 times smaller.

I did try ilowpass and ended up with 1 click on the MPG being 1 metre based on the example in the docs which was not pretty when I used to getting 1mm per click! .

Andy, thanks, I did work that out when I reviewed the example again, one day I'll try reimplementing my config with that change.
