Yes, but you're specifying even parity in your 'loadusr' command when you have the Huanyang set to no parity:

Yes, but you're specifying even parity in your 'loadusr' command when you have the Huanyang set to no parity:
PD165 = 3 (Set RS485 comms parameters to 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit)
loadusr -W hy_vfd -d /dev/ttyUSB0 -p even -r 19200

I am grateful for all the suggestions, but I have flipped, switched, and maneuvered this baby to every combination suggested and documented as well as a few of my own. I am convinced the Unit is not accepting VFD commands. I have just requested an exchange of the Inverter unit, or I will send the entire bundle back.

I am attempting to work with people in China to resolve my VFD issue. They sent a video that showed the use of some software that could test the communication between the computer and the VFD. I am not able to send the video through this Forum, but I have put it on Google Drive for viewing. You can access it through this link for the next 30 days.

If someone who speaks Chinese you may be able to listen and find out what this software is:
I would like to find similar software for use on a Debian system.
I do not have a PC near the VFD, nor 220V near my PC.
Please let me know.

There are a number of modbus simulators that turn up on a google search.
