Feed & Spindle override on Mesa 7i76e was created by vmihalca
Hi guys,
I wanna wire two incremental encoders for feed overrides on my Mesa 7i76e.
I am already using the encoder for spindle and I know there is a diagram that shows the how to wire another 2 encoders on mesa for this purpose. Can someone point me to that diagram or explain here what pins should I use for AB channels of the encoders?
Thanks

That is for pots, he needs it for encoders.
For that the 7i76 has to be set in mode 2, that will make 2 encoder inputs on the inputs header.
Can not recal it properly, but it is explained in detail in the 7i76 manual.

There is a very detailed walk through on using the 7i76e encoders on my build thread. forum.linuxcnc.org/show-your-stuff/32029...utter-build?start=20
Now I use a single encoder with a 6 way selector switch on a pendant and have 3 signals spare. I had thought of using it for override or reverse run.
