Not all Pentium 4 are 64.

The error message you got is telling you the system you have is 32 bit and you trying install 64 bit package.

Yes, it presented the error because the package is 64 bits and the system is 32 bits.
I checked my Pentium 4 model and unfortunately it is not 64Bits.
Thank you

How do I update linuxcnc via repository or package, from ISO ubuntu-10.04-linuxcnc3-i386 already installed?
Will you have any problems updating using a .DEB package? I did the test with this iso that has the Kernel RTAI, the Jitter is at most in 20000.
Unfortunately with Debian, I can't get a suitable jitter.

I'm continuing the tests with the FX5200, for now, it only worked on Ubuntu.
A friend lent me an IPM31 v1.03 (Pcware / Pegatron) card with a core2duo E7500 2.93GHz-FSB 1066Mhz-L2 cache 3MB, with a 1GB Kingston DDR2, hd sata, with onboard video.
I tried with ISO Debian Stretch using the settings recommended here on the forum, to disable a processor core. Jitter is at a good value, but at some point it jumps to over 100000ns.
I tried to install the Debian ISO 10.5.0 and install the RTAI kernel using this tutorial and packages (attached in the tutorial), but it returns these errors to me:

Testing Ubuntu 10 with Linuxcnc, the jitter is also low, at most 18000, when I try Debian, the problem I explained above happens.
Similar to what happens with the motherboard where I am with the geforce FX5200.

If you have the time, try using Mint 19.3 with Mate desktop and the RTAI stuff, it worked for me, twice.
