Heidenhain Encoder - strange waveform help request

it is a  Deckel FP2NC mill
when i power up  the machine  i see  the led inside the scale  is working  
but on the display  of the control unit of the mill the  x-value don't apeare 
y and z work  
i change x and  y  and now i have 2 problems  only z is still actieve  
maybe someone here had an old deckel console with the boards inside  ?
i need the  NZP board thats the input of the scale  maybe someone can help me out

You tried swapping the whole scale or just on the port connectors of X & Y .

Either case of swapping it cannot destroy the Controller PCB as the 11uA scanner head just has a source LED and 4 photo diode for 11uA of A&B signals .
or 6 photo diodes including Z.No other electronics inside .
Linear scales with visible light source usually has separate proximity circuit for Z marker.Usally with a settable metal strip.

If source LED is visible working remaining is header gap alignment and wiring.
Scales of newer version will have infrared LED and invisible to naked eyes .

can it be that i destroy the Controller PCB when i change the scale  with  power on  ? thats in fact what happend  
i think its a very old scale  the mill was build in  1984 as fare i can see ther is only one scale replaced not thise one  

i do the check with an exe 601 box  
the scale work partly  so it will be a dirt ploblem  how do i have to clean  this  ? i see a lot of movie  on youtube
