Fails to start, need some help getting this XYYZA setup to actually run. Appreciate any and all responses.

What happens is I get a tool window open then close quickly followed by shutdown.Attaching files.

Its best to run linuxcnc from the command line. This may print some additional clues.

Can you try upgrading to the latest version of 2.10/Master branch?
I belive that issue has been resolved in the last week or so.

I'm not convinced git describe is a valid method. Commits are more authoritave. Try this method.
Do we agree with the latest commit?

Anyway, I missed the MOTMOD error yesterday. Sometimes that kind of thing happens if you have left out something important from hal. Does the Axis SIM work? I am compiling master now as I was on 2.9

The log does not mention "Display" anything, not sure if 2.10 mentions it, but pretty sure 2.7 or 2.8 did.
So what GUI?
Also, what PC exactly, as the "bad window" can also be caused by video/graphic subsystem.
