It is my mistake, I apologize. RAPID_FEED fixed in RAPID_SPEED in the first post in the installation instruction. The famous RAPID_SPEED error has struck... just downloaded from git and installed on the axis sim. Screenshot shows the required entry in the ini DOES exist. Where to from here?

You may need to turn on the option of G-code access to INI parameters:
linuxcnc.org/docs/html/remap/remap.html#...i_file_configuration

ok i have just installed probe_screen , am i correct in that the origins and locations of the screen buttons align for a Gantry router
rather than say a mill . as it feels to me that the xy directions are incorrect for a mill those being the x axis is left to right , and the y front to back.
i.e the x axis is the longer of the 2 , either that or my brain is taking to interperting incorrectly.
if so i can possibly see some configuration issues as it grows .
however excellent work ,loving it allready .

If the x axis begins right to left, it is required to change only probe_screen.glade file, flip all X buttons relative to the central columnok i have just installed probe_screen , am i correct in that the origins and locations of the screen buttons align for a Gantry router

I don't seem to have the file probe_screen.glade or at least I can't find it. Can some one give me an idea were it might be?

I noticed a couple of pages back that someone is having trouble using the probe tab when NGCGUI is installed on the same machine.
I have not seen that anyone has a resolution to this.
Is it still an issue, or is the a workaround?

Great stuff!!
A fantastic addition for LCNC.
Many thanks to Verser and all who contributed.
I'm reluctant to monkey with my .ini anymore than I have without guidance.
Here is an abbreviated copy of the "LCNC start errors" and the section of my ".ini that applies.
What changes should I make here?
Thanks for any help.
