interesting read.
Although it's true FUD happens alot. I see it more as they're hoping to walk it back so they don't
loose customers. I was reading through Bambu Lab's forum yesterday and I can tell you their was
a LOT of fallout over this "Beta" update. If this was indeed a huge misunderstanding fine. I apologize
for not seeing it as Bambu Lab intended it to be seen.
That said I have seen WAY to many companies do the rug pull and close off their entire echo system
in the hopes of gaining more profits. I have seen it with Autodesk, HP, and you know what their are way
too many companies to list. They all love the subscription type of money model. I, like almost every
other human being in this world absolutely HATE the constant monopolistic mindsets and tactics that
have run rampant now of days.
So Bambu Lab you didn't mean it that way, OK. But know this, YOU ARE being watched. I am
already switching to Orca Slicer from Bambu studio. I have already set plans in place to build
Vorons for my future printing needs.
And I'm not alone!
PS
I don't think anyone else is buying it either

-My main phone is a Nokia 6310i
-Logitech wanted to move to subscription for mice and keyboards and gave up, luckily, i would hate to throw my MX Master 3S and G935 because of their f@ken stupidity and greed, they are really good.
-Netflix started with 9.99$ monthly sub, it was OK, now it's 49.99$ for utter garbage, last time i went to watch something, spent 1 hour 15 minutes searching for something worth watching, found nothing, second time spent 20 minutes found nothing, canceled the damn thing. And this for me was free, my sister was paying for it. Never again, not even for 9.99$.
-i drive a 20 year old car with manual gearbox, two ago i got through exchange a new-ish Passat with everything, even radar distance sensors, traded it for a very good PC and some money as i do NOT want to deal with all the crappy electronics inside it, and it will fail, for sure. And i want drive the car, not the car driving me!
-
The list goes on, it never ends, the era of CyberPunk is here for sure, it's just humans need the required glasses to see the hidden messages everywhere, luckily i have glasses
And this seems to far fetched, have a look at Cebol, see Asianometry channel on youtube, South Korea is absolutely run by LG, Samsung and Hyundai, not by presidents and politicians.
Now US is run by Elon Musk ..... bloody hell !!! Friendly advice to US citizens (2 of my brothers included) :

Just about the same for me as well. Except I don't know of anywhere else to run too.
the north = Canada, the south = Mexico maybe Cuba, East = U.K., West = Japan
All of which complain that no one wants to work anymore. I can't imagine why. LOL
From where I sit this has become a world wide problem and the powers who shouldn't
be are starting to worry because people aren't buying anymore. Every time they try to replace
the masses they end up being replaced by the masses.
My daily driver is a 20 year old Toyota Tundra.( my 87 is in the back yard )
Almost all of my computers are :Linux machines. Suck it Windows
I used to think I was a weird cynical pessimist always suspicious of people trying
to sell me something I didn't want or need. It's funny to think that I am apparently
just a normal person.

Rant:
A few days back i got delivery of a 215.90 Euro PC case with nothing in it, the ThermalTake Core P3 PRO, 6 hours of mounting PC parts inside including an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420mm radiator and a Radeon RX 6800 XT, looks astonishing, like a monument, later went out to have a coffee with a friend and told him about the case price, all hell broke loose as he could not comprehend why would i pay all that money for a case/box, until i told him that the parts in that case cost in total nearly 3000 Euro back when i got them! He stopped.
Point being, some people lack perspective, and i do not blame them for that, they just need a nudge to get things, but some do not as their own ignorance gets in the way, and hubris, and ego, and ....
BTW, not my PC anymore, it goes to a new home in 2 days
End rant.

So as I cruised around YouTube last night I have seen the comments on various channels. Let's just
say Bambu Lab has seriously hurt their bottom line with their greedy power grab. So many of the
commenters had apparently put in orders before this and are now canceling them over this situation.
All I can say is GOOD. Bambu Lab had chosen the whole F around and find out. Well they did
find out. My guess is they will back burner this push for a while. But I don't think they will abandon
it.
This has however presented a golden opportunity to other printer manufacturing companies to give
customers what they deserve, A good usable tool at a good price that isn't about monopolizing
peoples wallet's.
Is that really such a strange concept?
