Glad to see this topic at the top of the Installing Linuxcnc page

I removed it after the release of the official 2.8, was not aware that it was used so much ! :)

ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/l/lin..._4.9.228-1_amd64.deb
Might need other packages, so here is the place to look for them:
debian.pkgs.org/9/debian-main-amd64/linu...228-1_amd64.deb.html
The link is down in the download section, double click on the link, right click above it and select "open link" from the context menu.

Check the "spoiler" part, probably will need all those.
Might have messed up the order, but double clicking on a file will open gdebi and it will complain about the missing package so install the mentioned package, and so on.

Hi Tommy,

Just had a play around with my last ISO in a VM.
Removed beaglebrainz.net form apt.
Added the linuxcnc repo.
Installed the latest linuxcnc, open axis and seemed ok.
The only extra that was installed was libboost.

Dunno if this is an easier option, no need to install the kernel nor grub customiser.
ISO is still on my Google drive, has been for a while now.

No promises, but i will try to test it as soon as i can.
Spent nearly 4 hours last night gathering pictures and a PDF as i am helping retrofit a machine in France, so slept at 5, woke up at 11, trying to find my brain with help from coffee, and both of my shops are still closed at 1:30 PM!
Damn, i need 70 hour days ! :)
