How to Install LinuxCNC?

Press the button some more? In the screenshots you seem to be commanding 0.016666 rps (1 rpm) and that is probably slower than the spindle can run.

What is the relationship between the spindle and the LCNC has no output at all (only in halui) signals in reverse direction?
The LCNC not activates any signals in reverse and the stepgen doing nothing. So how can it be the the spindle's issue?
Why in 1 rpm in one direction is OK, in other not?
Pressing the spindle up not activates any pin.
Can the PNCConf make this issue, or it's the not stable version 2.9 bug?
Can someone try in on his 7i96s board (without hardware connection), just see what does the LCNC outputs in HAL show?

On LCNC 2.7.15 and 2.8.4 i have no this kind of issues in PNCConf with 7i76e and 7i96 boards with spindle set up in sep/dir mode to rotate CW and CCW.

You are requesting 1 rpm in both directions then. I wouldn't expect either to work.

What happens if you use MDI M3 and M4 and real spindle speed commands?

In the other versions of LCNC it works fine with 1 RPM in both direction with other boards with step/dir servos in manual mode.
In MDI i not tryed yet. I will chek.
It sould work in all modes with 1 rpm: manual, MDI, automatic.
Even if the motor not runs, the halshow must show signal and commands like in CW direction, see photos, same command just different directions. Why its not reacting the same way for 1 rpm in CCW direction in halshow?

Here you are.
Everything the same.
Tried M4 S400 - nothing. No reactions in LCNC. All pins and commands and signals are "0".
Why?
Config problem, or LCNC bug, or 7i96s problem?
Powered up only the notebook and the mesa card. ( with 5v)
So, i do not understand, why are there no reactions in LCNC.

Is anything driving spindle.0.inhibit?
That seems to have the effect seen.

Is the PNCConf doing it? Because I'm not driving it with nothing.
In both directions are FALSE.

Can you attach the current HAL file(s)? We can look to see what might be going on.
