Please read my response. Please read the XML. Thats all the documentation available. Chapeng and I have worked together. Both of us have one.
If there were any special features, we would have included it in the XML.

i bought this IO module and i have problem with the output ports, i am using out16,15,14 i connected 24V to power supply of this group ( second group ) and i connect my load to the pins and when i try to sent high signal the LED in the module turns on but there is no voltage on the output pin , when i measure the voltage its 0 on high signal and when low signal it gives about 7V

The outputs are probably NPN which means your load needs to go between the output pin and ground and common will need to be +24V

This may explain things.
control.com/technical-articles/a-look-in...-npn-and-pnp-sensor/
I'm not sure if your device can use negative and positive as a common.
Also have a look at some other ethercat documentation for wiring diagrams

Hi
I got this unit and I'd like to import it into "codesys".
The xml seems to be a very different format than most esi files I've seen and doesn't import into my app.
Does linuxcnc process a different type of xml to import devices or am I missing something?
Thanks

Yes, what is used on WIndows is not helpful. The git for the Linuxcnc driver has documentation

Now I'm even more confused. I'm not sure if your most recent comment was a response to mine.
The ethercat xml format (esi) is a standard by beckhoff.
www.ethercat.org/en/downloads/downloads_...B2BB2686BBA963EC.htm
It would seem that the driver used for cnc linux is using a different format and that, to be frank, seems like a very odd decision.
They use strange language too, it's a "EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) " that's normally used, a device description file as they are generically known similar to gsdml or iodd. A driver is really a different thing but maybe that's normal language in the cnc world. Tis stuff isn't a windows / linux issue.
I bought one from aliexpress but I suspect the vendor won't have a xml file for it now. I need one in the standard format unfortunately maybe the one created here is based off the standardised format?
I'm surprise you guys aren't using the SOEM library for you master is there a reason? Does the one you linked run in user space?
