Many users encounter issues when operating SCARA robots in real-world scenarios, including joint following errors, motor jolts, joint value shifts after homing, and the robot's inability to operate in negative space. These problems often stem from inaccuracies in the inverse kinematic equations. For example, modifying the home position to 30 in the SCARA configuration file (available at: github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master...vial/scara/scara.ini ) can cause joint 1 and joint 3 values to change after homing, leading to joint following errors or motor jolts.To address these issues, I created a modified version of the configuration. This version corrects the inverse kinematic calculations and includes adjustments to how the Z-axis is calculated for my specific use case.

and as i understand, you suggest to comment out the following lines in the interface file? correct? or will i also have to edit something in the Wpa supplicant? (once again i would prefer doing it through the menu-config)

with network manager installed, i cannot reach the network interface file like earlier. 
i tried to use
> sudo service NetworkManager stop
but then i cannot enter the network menu in the sudo menu-config anymore

to edit the file in the etc/network folder i cannot save whatever i have edited. and i would really like to edit it through the sudo menu-config rather than messing up any files manually through the filemanager

Remove the setup for the network you want to manage from the network file.
Leave the wired connection in the network file and use network manager for the wifi. I turn the wifi off whilst running a job.
May help with latency, stops Bad Guys from messing stuff up.

Personally I would only opt for ballscews on the Z axis on a bed slinger.
But in all honesty before knocking the Ender 3 use the machine, spend some time setting it up, stiffer bed springs or as the current trend solid silicon spacers. The printer itself is only part of the equation, the secret to a good print, we're talking functional prints, is designing the CAD model with thought as to how it will be printed. Dealing with shrinkage on holes, understanding that 0.1mm accuracy is the best you can expect. What works for my Ender 3 may not work for yours for nailing hole dimensions, then throw the type of filament into the equation and things change again.
There's a reason the Ender 3 was a popular choice as an entry level printer, it Just Worked out of the box.

how may i make it visible and editable through the network manager. specifically the wifi connection.
also as i pointed above, i tried to make a new wifi connection to my mobile hotspot, but as you can see, i cannot connect to it or use it.

what is the go around?

If you setup a network interface in the interfaces file,
that particular interface is no longer managed by
the network manager.

quick question, why does my network manager look like this? im still connected to wifi, and also have the connection to mesa card, but those options dont show up. i also set up a new wifi connection 1 to a different source, but im not able to switch into it or make it run. 

Generally only suggested for Intel NIC, RPi uses a Broadcom NIC.

I would also recommend the zswap mod if you intended to use an interface other than Axis, there is a reference to that in the index.

I have since made some progress. After moving to Firmware 2.10 and hence Drive Manager 2, I managed to get a setup going, that allows me to enable move CW and CCW. However, scaling is way off.

Sending a move of 5° results in roughly 375-390° on the output side.
   

Any ideas?

Dear All,

Does anyone have information that the KINCO FD425-EF-000 drive works with linuxcnc? On Ethercat?
Is there an xml file provided by the manufacturer, can I use that?
I haven't connected an Ethercat device to the machine under Linuxcnc yet.
