Thanks Phill for confirming it, if I am going to change to perpendicular, in arc I got better results in the holes but I will have to change to do the job. Thank you anyway.

how to make my own custom page for qtdragon_hd?

Category: Qtvcp

Do you use macro buttons?
There is no default option to add widgets there, but i may be able to add a small customization. o you want it to show like the macro buttons is if it shows basically all the time, is that ok?
Of course you can always use designer to add widgets there and save it as a custom ui file.
The disadvantage is if qtdragon gets updated you might not get the updates.

unfortunately I have not worked on translation code for qtdragon.
I'll have to speak with the Qtplasmac to see what they did.

I like your design.. Great if it is designed to be din rail mounted.
As much as I like to make things, at some point for me its easier to fork out a couple hundred. Time poor..

I have had this new module in mind.
Wrong link to the ethercat model. Couldn't find right one.
www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006434809743.html

I am wondering if this is EtherCat device PLC with I/O  is less then the $500 devices referred to but offers the functions/features you are after.
I like how it has expansion boards.

I'm rather keen to hear how these units worked out and if they are worth it over a more regular closed system stepper... I was looking at the dual 750w motor for a full sheet CNC Rack and Pinion .

Variation on the 7i83 theme without the second row of digits, might be easier to read.
(Still at A3) so print at 50%

An attempt at 7i83 terminal labels.
Sorry it's on A3, but struggled to get the fonts to scale!
I printed at 50% to an A4 printer.

Nope, that is 1uF, you need 0.1uF or 100nF
It does not mater much where, but i would still place the capacitor at the THCAD input, resistors inside the plasma.
Not a DC capacitor nor electrolytic one, metal film have no polarity and are good ad reducing interference.

While I greatly appreciate all your advice, it bother me to not understand why I'm adding a capacitor. Would you have some ressources where I can learn what this capacitor does in this case ? I tried to look it up but I dont even know where to start, there is so much information.

Does the capacitor act as some kind of "electronic spring" to absorb a HV surge ? And how did you know which capacity and voltage it should have ?

There have been a number of reports of people having problems with USB/phone chargers.
I would stick to a Meanwell MDR-10-5 (2 amp) or a bit higher... DIN rail mount or similar.

Given that the 5v supply powers the logic section of the board I'd have to agree with rodw. It's the wrong part of the build to cut corners. The Meanwell power supplies are a safe bet and not too expensive.

Probe Basic uses a different plot called VTK which is why it has higher graphics card requirements than most other user interfaces.

I suspect this bug is related to the implementation of that plot in QtPyVCP.

I'm sorry I got confused (I thought you are using PathPilot) my preview is in Gmoccapy.

I dug further into the issue yesterday and it seems that if you are at position X100 Y100 in G54 and switch to for example G55 the plot automatically goes to X100 Y100 G55 even though the machine actually hasn't moved at all.

I would have expected that all gui's use the same gremlin preview yet I cannot reproduce this either.

how to make my own custom page for qtdragon_hd?

Category: Qtvcp

In qtdragon_hd left to red mushroom estop button has a list with upto 10 macro buttons
that execute the commands from ini file [MDI_COMMAND_LIST].
How can i change this behavior and config these buttons to set value (true/false) of hal pins? For example one button to enable machine light.
Can i put in this vertical bar except of macro buttons some led indicators ?
Is there a language file for translation of menus ? How can translate it ?

ColorCNC Colorlight 5A-75E/5A-75B as FPGA controller board

Category: Driver Boards

3 github links on at the start of this topic, 1 was updated 3 weeks ago, 1 a month ago, and on seems nothing changed for 2 years.
forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/4442...board?start=0#228191
So it is still alive, although if stuff is working properly, there would be need for changes.

I made a header board for 5A-75E8.2 and started testing the litexcnc firmware and encountered the following problems.
1- When I close the linuxcnc software or press the estop key, the motors start moving.
2- For homing using encoder z pulse, after receiving the z pulse instead of stopping, it makes a strange movement at full speed and then stops.
I posted this problem before but couldn't find a solution for it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for solving these problems?
