How to build a spaceship with Linuxcnc and a Mesa 7i76e

Category: Basic Configuration

Hi Rodw

I purchased the MPG pendant i think it might be the same as yours, although this has the screen.

www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002095130699...n.498.21ef1802xJ8JwX

I have been trying to find the post in the forum in which you discussed this so that i may add to it.

I purchased a 7i96s with a 7173 and a 7i95T. I will porobably go with the 7i95T as it has lots of I/O for future expansion on my CNC and some planned projects i would like to add to my CNC.

Im still new to CNC although i have been involved with 3D printing since its inception, which gives me some transferrable skills. Im an electrical engineer by trade so although a steep learning curve, im sure i will succeed in my venture.

The reason for my message is the pendant i bought i chose as it has the STWGP interface for connecting to my 7i95T.

Would you have a wiring diagram you used for your connections between your 7i76E and the STWGP.

Im just striking up a conversation with the manufacturer of the pendant and he has asked for a wiring diagram to check its suitablility.

I was hoping if you dont mind to use your connections as a base for my wiring scheme.

Anything further you can add or setup files would be greatly appreaciated, or if in the linuxcnc domain a link if you wouldnt mind.

Kindest regards
Andy

Real-Time Kernel with Orange Pi 4 LTS

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Perhaps something wrong with the kernel config? You could try to install the kernel deb that I uploaded to see if that helps. Otherwise you might need to install more software, just install a complete desktop will be the fastest route to find out.

from then I tried so much and still couldn't compiled a real-time image which linuxcnc be installed and its latency shows up.
Could you please guide me after placing patch (patch-6.6.63-rt43) in the /patch/kernel/archive/rockchip64-6.6 and configuring fully preemption option, what changes do I need to do?

Despite all my efforts, I was unable to successfully build a real-time version of Armbian.
Since I need a lightweight operating system, my review of the available Armbian versions showed that most of them have high latency and noticeable lag.
I am looking for a build of Armbian similar to the version provided for Raspberry Pi, which is both lightweight and optimized, with excellent latency performance.
Please help me to get through this.

There is a CAM version of Blender if you feel like stepping into the deep end, no idea if it is still being worked on. Blender is a monster! And it's free, despite huge offerings to buy them out.

I actually have the download for that one but have yet to have time to go through and learn/use it.

Thank you cornholio. I have watched a few of his tutorials. My only complaint with them is early on he uses
shortcuts and such, At least the tutorials I have seen. As great as it is to know those shortcuts if someone is
just starting out learning CAD/CAM those shortcuts can become cumbersome to remember.

qtvismach, a axis toolpath

Category: Qtvcp

The difference may not be very big, but it is noticeable. Now, when the zoom is near the maximum, then you have to turn the mouse wheel a lot to achieve the maximum zoom, because smaller and smaller numbers are multiplied or divided, near the maximum zoom. With such a correction, achieving the maximum zoom is much easier. I tested it on various machine simulations, and it is always better with the correction.

I have another problem with qt_vismach.

Sometimes I use the A axis, and sometimes I don't. When I don't use it, I want the entire A axis not to be displayed. For now, using the hal pin, I hide the entire A axis under the machine table. The only problem is that the tool trace is drawn anyway. The best solution would be to exclude the A axis from the Collection.

How to dynamically, without restarting vismach, get rid of "axisA" from this line?
base = Collection([geszt, work, axisA])

The drawing you posted, it is the same thing as using a pot, except its done in steps in your case, and linearly with a pot. And pot does not need any additional parts.
Pot/potentiometer is a variable resistor.

Pictures?
Stepper make noise when moving, slow motion=lot of vibrations/sound.
Using microstepping drives will lower the vibrations/noise, using TMC drives can make them very quiet.
Can not offer more help as we need to know how stuff is setup/mounted/executed.

Hallo LinuxCNC Gemeinschaft,

Was denkt ihr? Alles ist unverbindlich und ohne irgendwelche Fallen!

Grüße
Robert
