Holes have a taper

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

you maybe reaching the tolerance that MDF can hold, while MDF is More Stable than other woods it still changes shape massively compared to metals and some plastics. i will try to run some holes on my phantom s4. it does many small move like your, I suspect I will get the similar results as you. that would mean tool deflection and/or material movement

Spindle synchronization with only one Initiator / one pulse - Emulate an encoder

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

See the included spindle "orient" component, might do what you need.

I saw it before, but not really understand how to use it with a VFD (mesa 7i96s analog output generated with the PncConf) and with one fake encoder.

Machine moves when you stop program in the middle

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Compress the entire machine config and attach if here. It's really impossible to do more in depth troubleshooting without seeing all the files.

Also try to uncomment one of those lines at a time and see when the bug appears again.

How to activate the Z axis with the 7i77 and configure the THCAD02 encoder?

Category: Advanced Configuration

Good afternoon everyone

Can you please help me with how to configure the Z axis drive and recognize the THCAD2 as an encoder? I have tried several times without success.

When trying to move the axis, an error appears calculating the movement of the Z axis.

This is the INI file type configuration

this is the HAL type file configuration

Please, can someone guide me?

Machine moves when you stop program in the middle

It was the "on abort call" causing that, every time you stop execution of a program it calls that routine and does whatever that routine tell it to.

Machine moves when you stop program in the middle

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Great news I think!!
It seems to be 1 or more of the commented lines here from ini file. I have tested about 10 times with commented it does not move on stop. Without commented it moves when stop is pressed.

I have no idea why, but at least it seems back to proper. The problem is the lines were added to use easy probe. So is there an issue there?

Machine moves when you stop program in the middle

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

A little more information:
When it is moving on its own, I can not hit pause. Also If i Hit power, it does not respond until the move ends, then the power button is "pressed". Actually it appears all of the GUI is disabled until the move ends. But clicks are stored and executed when it stops moving.

If I hit pause then stop, it will still move.
If I hit pause then power off, It will stay still. Then when I power back on no movement happens. This seems like the work around for now.

Machine moves when you stop program in the middle

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Indeed I wish I had made that copy. But I remember most of the changes. I actually made no changes to .hal or any hal. But changes were made to ini. I can get rid of them.

Does anybody know what this error is? It happens when the machine stops moving after the "random" move.

The distance and direction seems to be related to where the program is in the gcode file.

Knuth Mark Super CNC Retrofit - need some help with my first LinuxCNC

Category: Milling Machines

Thank you for helping.
I am 99,9% sure it is analog control.
Here is what i found out:
This is so electrical drawing.

In PIN 18/19 there is the cable 186 and 189 with the name PA Ana_out...  you are right if it is a control input for the Servo the name Ana_out is not so good.
But: this is the CNC_Control in my machine:

And here you se the X37 Analog out... and one of this cable goes to the ServoDriver. And you also see the right wire names 186 and 189.

And i also find a china manual of the Servo_Driver were i find the PINs 19/20 from the servo driver and thees are +-10V... and thees pins you also see in the first pictures.
