manual tool change not working after update

Category: QtPyVCP

You deleted all of the manual yotol change lines, look at that section of the docs again and add in the tool change lines still showing as active in the docs file, should get you back up and working.

I have added the lines and still no tool loads. I have decided to create a new configuration that already loads the tools but suddenly without touching anything the program no longer opens and gives me an error.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience, I am very new to linuxcnc.

Qtdragon interface touchscreen no longer responds during operation.

Category: Qtvcp

Hello,

Another problem just now.
BS and Linuxcnc up to date.
I wanted to quickly plan a small area using the Qtdragon jog button.
But for reasons that are not clear, the interface no longer responds to touch inputs, the machine continues to move to the limit switch, the button remains selected even without touching it. The touchscreen still works in the system, but Qtdragon is not accepting anything. Keyboard inputs are still processed and selecting with the mouse also works, and changes are also displayed in the interface.
That could have ended badly.

I'm slowly getting embarrassed, especially since I haven't changed anything except for adjusting the postprocessor for myself.

Best wishes and thanks in advance, Frank.

Project_Hopeless is not the only person, having those difficulties. :-)

To use block diagrams is maybe worth a try, did not think of it yet. Maybe it helps me to clean up the chaos of a .hal file that i created.

Do you use a special software for those blocks diagrams?

Getting a BD600 to work with MB2HAL

Try www.modbusdriver.com/diagslave.html (30days free trial period) to verify that your computer can actually communicate with VFD. That is the only package that runs under Linux, that I know of, may be other members know of better Modbus testing package for Linux.

Wouldn't I need something like a Master Simulator/Program as the VFD already acts as a Slave? I would like to test the connection between the VFD and my Computer.

@COFHAL: As I See, the VFDMOD Project on Github is offline. Someone seems to have saved the installation packages but I have no Idea how to handle/configure it (already installed it, but there is no more information). I am open for this route, if you have more information :)

Cheers

Hello,

no problem, I'm attaching it as a zip file.
It's not that long but this is where the problem occurred last.
I have another problem right now but I'm starting a new topic for it.

Sorry for my google English
Thank you for your efforts.
Kind regards, Frank.

So basically pncconfig does not do configurations that are specific to qtplasmac.

PNCconf has not been taught anything about the external HAL pins.

Could I move the appropriate lines for these buttons from my Hal file to the postguy halfile. And just replace the pins that pncconfig created with the appropriate Qtplasmac external Hal pins?

Yes, that should work fine.

I visited all sites in the replies

regarding tapered bushing naming

for example 1108 means the max bore it can be selected for the group is 1.1 inch, and the length is .8 inches.

While my shaft is in metric system.

I found many companies list for example 1108 tapered bushing with metric shafts. Little confusing for me because , either use imperial or metric not a mix.

In all cases I will be buying pulleis/tapered bushings combination as a set, I will not try to buy them individually and try to match. Eventhough, it should not be complicated anyway just precaution.

Now I have to perform the calculations regarding torque based on the servo motor maximum torque and teeth engagement

Best regards

Philip

I can load that ngc file in both PlasmaC and QtPlasmaC with no issues.

I see that the PP adds both G90 and G9 to the preamble which are the LinuxCNC defaults.

Could you take a screenshot of the error message so we can see the incorrect values.

I guess I can't attach a copy of my post processor. it is PlasmacV2.1 I don't know if that matters. I have muddled through most of the issues that I have had come up by YouTube and the forum.

Here as another alteration of previous block diagram. This time we did away with the toggle componentOne thing you should learn is to draw block diagrams before you starting to write your hal netlisting. You will find as you start writing complex hal files block diagrams help tremulously in keeping you sane. I don’t know how to other members write their hal netlisting. In my case there is no way I can write hal without using block diagrams.

If you look at the first block diagram to control halui machine on and off with one pushbutton. The reason the block diagram is complex because Hal which is real time program is communication with halui a user land non realtime program. The non realtime component timing is unpredictable and make RT comp communication with non realtime comp  difficult It requires trial and error intuition and luck to get to two to talk consistently no matter the jitter of the controllers.

I which someone could convert Halui to run in real time memory.

Sorry for the lack of information. my brain went squirrel. so suddenly I don't have any material selection on line 18 of and geode made with fusion. I also have the radius to end of arc differs from radius to start. errors on all the arcs and curves. ill attach a code file that i processed this afternoon. I had no problem making usable code on Tuesday but now i am not having any luck.

File Attachment:

File Name: airtoolrack2.ngc
File Size:195 KB
. I have not run back to the shop to get my config files downloaded. I don't feel it is a change on the control computer since it is a stand-alone that was working well as of Tuesday.
