linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/drivers/mesa_modbus.html. Could this have anything to do with not being able to communicate with the mesa board? when i run board discovery in pncconf, i keep getting errors related to modbus and the proper drivers for the board not being loaded.

how would i do that exactly? through edit connections? the same way i created the connection?

Yes, it happens when the hm2_xxx driver is loaded.

Yes that's wrong.

You have to consider that for RS-422,
host TX --> remote RX and remote TX --> host RX

So a sserial host device (7C81 or your example) will have swapped
RX/TX pins relative to a sserial remote device (7I87 for example)

Yes, Tx connects to Rx, Rx connects to Tx

TX - Transmit
Rx - Receive

So, you are saying that

TX+ > TXB
TX- > TXA
RX+ > RXB
RX- > RXA

is wrong?

This is what I was using from the 7i87 manual:

SERIAL PORT PINOUT
J1 is the 7I87s serial interface. J1 is a RJ-45 jack. The serial interface pinout is

Hi,I'm not familiar with how QtPlamac works.I only think among all the builtin linuxcnc control panels,the QtDragon looks to be the most professional one.Since I'm newbee to the linuxcnc ,now I can only create and use the QtDragon panel through the linuxcnc wizard. Do you mean that you have the seperated version of QtDragon/hd which has the translation ability? If I use the version you provided then I dont need to translate the English string to Chinese anymore ? Hope to recv your reply ,thank you.

Hi,I indeed found the string is both in ui and py file ,not so convinient .Thanks for your good advice,using theme file may be a better choice.

Did some preliminary hacking om qtdragon:

The wiring that's wrong is the wiring to the RJ-45

That doesn't look like the board I have which is a MESA ENC422 single channel with the jumper set to RS485.I couldn't find a schematic or data sheet for it so I'm going by the labels printed on the board. The TXEN LED lights up when under power.I tried to attach an image of it but it is too large. 

And one last thing I wanted to mention is that there is a driver for the Delta MS300 in both the old sittner github, as well as the newer linuxcnc-ethercat github; though it seems like they are targeting an older version of the communication card

I just updated the linuxcnc-ethercat driver, as we had used the original sittner as linked by the sticky.

Unfortunately this did not do anything outside of giving me access to the lcec_configgen command; though the configuration it generates is one we already tried.

Unfortunately the drive refuses to enter the OP state, even when given the correct PDO mappings, and init commands (which were exported from the Beckhoff EtherCAT Configurator, where the drive enters OP state without any extra configuration outside of installing the EDS file from Delta)

Also, as clarification, the GitHub link I had in my original post was for a working configuration another user had created and link on another post(albeit this was for an older revision of the Delta communication card; which may be why its not working as expected)

Though thank you for the new link, which makes my system a little newer
