the strange thing is that they are the usual PCs and software that worked a year ago... then my brother had a serious health problem I gave up everything, now everything is better I wanted to look for some motors to use them and I am no longer able to connect them to the PC. I ordered a cable with the right plug when it arrives I will try again. last year I had soldered the GND RXD TXD wires and screen only on the servo side and it worked perfectly.

I used this IC:

I had a Heidenhain rotary encoder with the same 1VSS signal. The IC converted it to TTL. Worked (and still does) flawlessly.

Included is a Layout for 2 and 4 Layers. I used the 2 layer board. But with prices so cheap, i would order the 4 layer for better signal integrity.

Linuxcnc will save the work offset on shut down. Also G54 is the default offset system on startup. Since the example code contains ' g10 l2 p0 x0 y0 z180' the G54 z-offset is set to 180 which is then stored on shutdown and restored on restart.
As far as I know it has always restored the last offset values but I have only ever worked with Versions 2.8 or later.

You should really mention you keep using the remote desktop, not everyone here knows what RustDesk is.
And that begs the question, how is the NVEM wired to the PC?
So yes, rustdesk is causing issues, but if you are using a hub/switch, that is a big nono for machine control.

But how is G54 active after homing and no G-code execution? I have two machines running LCNC (2.7.4) an both don't do that. That's confusing me a little bit.

I commented the G54 out of the .ini File but the behavior does not change.

Does the software work on XP?
If yes, find and download "userport.exe", it was/is for granting access to ports on Win98/2000/XP. No idea if it works for 7 and up.
You could also try to run the software in Linux using Vine, does not always work, but worth a try.

Looks like the /32 setting was the ticket. Between that and making the offset/scale changes, it appears my voltage readings are in order. Next step is getting the voltage/height adjustments in setup.

Do you happen to have any material libraries for the Everlast 82i? IIRC, you were using that before. I haven't been able to find anything reliable online yet.

Did a bit of tweaking and got this to run reliably at 40KHz on all 3 stepgens, got rid of some fuzzy issues where at higher speeds after a jog the motor/output would dither back/forth all the time, adjusted PID so it tracks under 0.1mm at 24M/M always, changed pins (as i have an ESP32 on a Arduino Uno form factor) for the stepper shield, etc.
This uses the HAL2UDP, the older version from github, the new version has something messed up with some "ready" checks, did not feel like dropping into that rabbit hole.

That works. My confusion was thinking there should of been and _OVERRIDE function like rapid. Thanks, that solved several problems with my setup.

I don't know the CPU clock frequency but if it's say 3 GHz, this is ~5 ms
so if you have a 1 ms servo thread, you are likely dropping packets

This indicates a network latency issue.

So possible the DKMS patch did not apply or there is still something
remaining wrong with the network setup.

I would run the ping test again, as it will show these issues clearly

You have G54 offset active, which is set to Z: 180 so since the spindle nose is in the home position you get a z-position of -180.

Install Inkscape
sudo apt install inkscape
Unzip the attachment, copy both gcodetools_xxxxxx to
/usr/share/inkscape/extensions
yes to overwrite
Open Inkscape, draw something, Path menu, object to path, extensions menu>gcodetools>tools library>choose PlasmaC> apply
Again extensions menu>gcodetools>path to gcode , preferences tab>directory> add Documents , do not delete existing > path to gcode tab >clcik on "sort paths to reduce....."> click apply > click OK > close
Open in LinuxCNC, run.
