It is long ago but as i remember there are accelation ramps for your handwheel that i programmed..

As far as I understand, this v5 supports imput 220vac 4 kW 4.5 kW motors, but is it not suitable for mach3? Doesn't it provide 5v pulse/dir?

As far as I'm aware V4 used an obsolete power semiconductor this (v5) is a forked project with a new design.

Note that v4 does not support motors above 2kW either.

Still no luck with that. I also get the feeling that testing under load might not be the best test.

My machine originally had a 18 speed gearbox. I reduced it down to 5 and did all the rpms inbetween using the vfd. Just switched that back to the original config and run the vfd/motor at its normal speed (2750 rpm). The extra torque from the gearbox keeps the rpm stable enough, so far I can live with that speed.

Beautiful! Nowhere as near exciting here. But I have reworked my ethercat lab and have some beckhoff slaves installed for the first time (after I found an ethernet cable was faulty!)

 

I still have to get the homing switch working. The 8mm sensor does not see the aluminium so it needs a strip of steel fitted

i managed to make it work, but having a weird issue, 1000 speed command is almost giving me a 10krpm, 
what could be the issue here ? i am manually testing it with hall show, 

i have attached my vfd hal and ini files, for testing with hall show i # all nets

 

but how is that possible there are a lot of sample videos with mach3 stmbl v4

Don't change stuff unless you really need to.

If it works, don't mess with it.

thanks for the help... But nothing is working at the moment. :-D 

The best thing to do with worked... except that the card always restarted. But with the configuration the process data exchange worked anyway.

Maybe I don't quite understand this.
The operating mode of the EL6731 “DP (Equidistant / no GC)” is correct, isn't it?
That also changes to
I have now deactivated the FoE and AoE. I really don't need that now.

The slaves seem to remain offline and no data exchange.

Your config is missing of the DC configuration adn SDO datas cofig too

it looks like halui.spindle.0.override.direct-value is broken
I've tested feed override, max velocity an rapid override and it works correctly; it is only broken on SSO

method :
set override.direct-value to 1
set scale to 0.1
set counts to 5

works nicely except for spindle override

I'm using 2.9.4
