the mentioned link will not copy the needed hal widgets to the needed locations, so this might cause problems.

I made a howto for linux MINT 19 Mint 19 and glade

Please check the steps regarding the installation of glade 3.8.6

For the reasons you have noticed, I often edit glade files with a text editor for simple things like renames and resizes.

I do have all the hal widgets so maybe it was your link that I did follow, I cannot really remember...

I did not think of doing something simple like that, It seems I like to make things complicated for myself.

Well I have settled down now and gone back to to the Gladevcp panel for the example config...

I have pushed an example config for Gmoccapy which is still a work in progress.
It appears under Gmoccapy in the Configuration Selector.
I am not sure about SpinButtons as I do not have a touchscreen so I am not sure what are the correct widgets to use.
