Rod
If you have connected it correctly the Plasmac branch will handle torch break away well with the plasmac component. I have lots of experience with it now! I actually haven't lost a part since starting to use Plasmac. You do actually want it to pause and not put the machine into estop if you don't use Plasmac.

Rod,
I have written a configurator to create a plasmac config. I have posted it in the Another plasma component and you may want to link to it in the first post.
Cheers, Phill.

first of all thanks to those who are doing this good job.
I'm doing the first tests with a 7i80 + 7i30 + thcad 0-10, the motors work and the voltage is read .. I would like to know how to use this thcad mode 0 or 1? I also have the arc-ok signal that I used with an analog thc.
Thanks in advance
mauro

The THCAD mode select (W1) should be down to select unipolar mode. This gives you a 0-10v range not -5v to +5v
You should also select the divider link to 1/32 and adjust your full scale frequency and offset accordingly (eg divide the calibration spec by 32)

thank you Rod, but I was referring to the 0 - 1 - 2 mode of plasmac .. in practice with or without an external arc-ok signal
edit

Yup that should be it, although you have the possibility of having ArcOK generated from linuxcnc.

Why do you insist on multiple posts for the same question, it is really annoying...
